Porto Batel is a reef break that is located just south of Consolação. It's suitable for surfers with more experience and best surfed between mid and high tide. At low tide it's usually too shallow.
Praia da Vigia is basically the south end of Praia de São Julião. With low tide both beaches are connected, but with higher tide access to this surf spot is only possible via the dirt parking on top of Praia da Vigia.
Praia da Aguda is a beautiful beach located in the district of Sintra, just south of Praia do Magoito. With more than 100 stairs to walk down and many other surf spots nearby, it is usually less crowded than the surrounding beaches.
Just north of Lagide is another wave, perfect for intermediate surfers and longboarders looking to escape the Lagide crowds. Here you'll find both lefts and rights breaking over sand covered rocks.
Like its neigbour Santa Cruz, Praia das Amoeiras is a swell magnet with multiple peaks breaking both left and right depending on the sand banks. With the busy Santa Cruz next door, Praia das Amoeiras is a world apart.
The beach north of Baleal is called Praia do Baleal Norte. Here you have two surf spots: Prainha and Lagide. Prainha is a beach break on the south end of the beach while Lagide is a reef break located a bit more to the north.
Just north of the surf spot Pico da Mota is another typical beach break in front of Praia d'el Rey. Here you find multiple peaks with both lefts and rights that are usually not so crowded and suitable for all levels of surfers.
Pontissima is a righthander located in between the famous surf spots Ribeira d’Ilhas and Cave. You can access the wave from both sides, but the easiest access is paddling from Ribeira d'Ilhas.
Inatel reef is an inconsistent break located close to the Forte de Santo Amaro do Areeiro and the surf spot Santo Amaro. Driving the coastal road from Lisbon towards Carcavelos, this righthander is easily overlooked.
Praia da Calada is a beautiful bay located 10 km north of Ericeira. Although not the best surf spot in the area, it can offer nice and uncrowded waves with lower tide. There is an a-frame with lefts and rights breaking over a reef.
Praia de Valmitão is a 1.5 km long beach that is located in between the more famous surf spots Santa Cruz and Areia Branca. The south end of the beach is also known as Praia das Conchas.
With smaller swells, Papoa is a fun reef break where you find quite mellow lefts and rights. It is then also suited for less experienced surfers with a clear channel that makes paddling out easy.
The beautiful coast line just north of Baleal (Peniche) offers multiple fun beach breaks without the crowds. Praia do Pico da Mota is one of the most consistent peaks with fast and fun waves going both left and right.
Praia da Almagreira is a great place to surf if you want to escape the crowds of Peniche. It's located 3 km north of Baleal. This isolated, pristine beach offers fun and consistent waves for most levels of surfers.
The beach north of Baleal is called Praia do Baleal Norte. Here you have two breaks: Prainha and Lagide. Prainha is located on the south end of this bay and it is a nice and easy beach break, perfect for beginners.
