Inatel reef is an inconsistent break located close to the Forte de Santo Amaro do Areeiro and the surf spot Santo Amaro. Driving the coastal road from Lisbon towards Carcavelos, this righthander is easily overlooked. But with the right conditions, Inatel is considered one of the best spots in the area. It breaks only with big swells from the west/northwest and should be surfed around mid tide. You can park your car in the surroundings of the BP gas station.

Please note that the best time to surf this stretch of coast is October to March. In the summer there are usually no waves!
