Porto Batel is a reef break that is located just south of Consolação. It’s suitable for surfers with more experience and best surfed between mid and high tide. At low tide it’s usually too shallow. The best conditions are wind from the north/east quadrant and swell from the south/west. It can hold a good swell (up to 3 meter) and is a great wave for maneuvers. Porto Batel is at its best when the waves are a bit bigger.
