Praia Azul is located on the north side of a 1.5 km long beach. The south side of the same beach is called Praia Foz do Sizandro. It’s a typical beach break that picks up lots of swell and has multiple peaks with both lefts and rights. There are more rocks towards both ends of the beach. It’s a good place to go if you want to escape the crowds and works best between low and mid tide. It’s quite sensitive to wind and swell direction, so timing is key if you don’t want to be dissapointed. Northwest swell and wind from the east is ideal. There is a nice parking with a wave breaking right in front.
